Your “Blood Type” is Part of Your Unique Healing Equation
Why your unique body type plays an essential role in healing breast cancer
Understanding what causes cancer in the first place can help us start moving in the right direction and stimulate the healing process to reverse the cancer state. Over the years I’ve read a lot about how the human body functions in all its intricacies. While I am a Biology/Chemistry major and learned all about how alike we are in form and function, what I have learned since my college education is that we are more like snowflakes. While we have the same basic building materials those materials are put together in different ways making us each unique.
Yes we all have a liver, skin, and eyeballs but what have you seen with your eyeballs? What traumas have you experienced? What lessons did your parents teach you? What have you witnessed since your birth? What have you been feeding your body with? All of these intricate factors changes how energy flows through our bodies. This shift in energy flow makes us very unique. A room full of people can look at a painting and when interviewed about what they liked about it or what they saw, every answer will be unique.
This uniqueness must be honored. In today’s society we are all squeezed into a box. We are forced to be the same as everyone else. This is causing a myriad of health imbalances because we are NOT all alike. When we are freed from this “same as everyone else” prison we can allow our wings to expand and fly free.
Your Blood Type, in combination with several more factors we will cover in other blogs, makes you unique.
You can dial in and better understand how to create healing in your body by learning about your blood type. You may have heard of the Blood Type Diet. There are many factors to this program that are accurate but many individual characteristics are not taken into account. While the information on this topic is growing by leaps and bounds, we still need to take into account the other factors, you will discover as you read my blogs, to get a true picture of how one should design their lifestyle supporting their unique healing equation in a way that no single focused program can.
The main factor with blood type is sensitivity to a chemical called lectin. There are certain foods that are commonly associated with making this chemical according to blood type. Lectin formation should be avoided as much as possible mainly because it causes red blood cells to stick together. While it doesn’t mean you have to avoid the food all together (you may want to or need to initially) it usually can be eaten in small quantities which doesn’t subject you to lectin formation.
The Main Blood Types are O, A, and B
O’s are the oldest blood type and considered hunter gatherers. However, more recent research is showing that actually A blood types are the oldest and all blood types ate mostly plant based with very low percentage of animal products in their diet. O’s do better eating lower carbs and higher fat and protein, have hearty digestive tracts, and an overactive immune system. If you are an O blood type, it’s very important that you get your food as close to what nature intended as possible meaning whole, organic, and uncooked. Dairy and grains are best avoided by O’s. Eggs and dairy are poor protein sources for O’s. Pea protein is the best with 65.4% bioavailability versus less than 5% for any cooked meats. Veggies (raw fiber) and healthy fats and oils (coconut oil, walnuts, chia, etc,) aid efficient digestion, prevent fluid retention, and increase intestinal mobility.
• Some foods that can cause sensitivities and lectin production for O’s are wheat, soy, peanut, and kidney beans
A’s were the first vegetarians and farmers & cultivators. A’s require lower fat and protein meals compared to O’s. As an A blood type, it’s vital to get your food as nature intended; whole, organic, and uncooked. A’s have sensitive digestive tracts and low stomach acid that leads to low ability to digest and absorb nutrients properly. Meat is considered toxic because of A’s sensitive digestive tract and low stomach acid. The meat may not be properly digested and will putrefy in the intestinal tract. It will be stored as fat and will increase digestive toxins. Dairy provokes insulin reaction and inhibits nutrient metabolism. Almost all veggies & healthy seeds and oils (pumpkin, olive, flax, etc.) aid efficient digestion, prevent fluid retention, and increase intestinal mobility.
• Some foods that can cause sensitivities and lectin production for A’s are lima beans, tomato, eggplant, and garbanzo beans
B’s are the nomads meaning wonderers that do fine on a variety of foods that both A’s and O’s typically eat. If you are a B blood type then you require a balance of macronutrients meaning you will do well with a little fat, carbohydrates, and protein in every meal. You have a strong immune systems and a tolerant digestive systems. It’s important that you get your food as nature intended as possible meaning whole, organic, and uncooked. B’s do best eating the best of the fruit and vegetable kingdoms and have the widest array of acceptable food choices. B’s have a tendency to have liver issues so it’s especially important for them to eat greens, such as chard, spinach, kale, and watercress, to assist in liver detoxification.
• Some foods that can cause sensitivities and lectin production for B’s are chicken, corn, soy, and lentils

It implies being your own scientist and entering into a process of trial and error as you finetune your diet. Rediscovering how to eat in a way that best enhances our health, well-being, and joy is a noble endeavor. When we change our diet so that it si optimal for us, it positively influences all our biological systems and every aspect of our health and well-being.
There are three essential questions to remember:
• Am I emotionally stable after eating?
• Do I have increased physical energy after eating?
• Am I craving any foods?
The answers to these questions cannot be obtained from any book. They must come from our own experience. This is a most important key to conscious living.
